So I went on a mini road trip vacay to MI to see my sister and it was too much fun!! It wasn't as long as I would've liked it to be, but fun none the less. It was the first road trip I went to visit her and didn't have to worry about "Extra Company"!! LOL It was a great weekend and the weather was absolutely perfect!!

The weekend plan was for me to get away and for us to shop for our upcoming trip to Puerto Rico. We have 17 days in counting and we are just too excited!!! She had more luck with finding some good clothing for the trip. I myself was not so lucky. I found one shirt I really liked and of course got it.

There were so many cute things, but nothing that really popped out at me? I still have to find a all white and an all red outfit and or dress. So if anyone knows of a good website with fly clothes PLEASE let me know!! lol

VACATION TIME!!!!!!!!

The time is here and I am sooo ready for a nice long vacation!!! I haven't been on a REAL vacation for a long time!! I mean a vacation where I can actually enjoy myself and those around me and not have to worry about work, networking, or anything like that. Just a time to actually relax have fun enjoy those around me. In less than 30 days me and my sister will be in beautiful Puerto Rico and we both cant wait!! We have been counting down the days!! lol

It was almost a last minute trip but I'm glad she brought it to my attention and now its just a few weeks away!!! Super excited isn't even the word!!! I've been to PR before, but as a child visiting family so I wasn't able to appreciate all it has to offer and of course enjoy the "Adult" atmosphere either. lol But this time its gonna be a week of nothing but fun fun and more fun!! I couldn't be going with a better trip mate!! We have nothing but FUN when we're together!!!

Our last mini road trip we had to ATL was an adventure all in itself!!! bawhahhah it was a mini pre game until the main event trip!!! LOL That's a whole different blog story!! But this trip is gonna be packed with so much fun, activities, food, drinks, shopping, and a whole lot more!!! I just can't wait to relax on the beach with the sun beaming down and a drink in had!!!!lol Oh yes!!! I'm ready for some tan lines!!! lol And speaking of activities...we have an 8am Rum Tour scheduled!!!! O_0 lol we will be hungover by noon messing with these folks!!! hahaha but that's what vacation is all about!!

The countdown is definitely in effect and we can't wait to board that plane!! we start off in different locations, me in Cols, Oh and her in Lansing, MI. But that layover we link up in ATL for a couple hrs to have lunch and a few cocktails then it's off to PR we go!!! Which reminds me???? I gotta get a new camera and a camcorder!! Fun, beaches, drinks, parties, food, shopping, and much more!!! Yes!!!! This trip is about to be EPIC!!!!!

Should I Stay.....Or Should I Go?

Lately I've been feeling like I'm not satisfied with my current situation. I feel like everything around me is just...Blah! I mean I'm grateful for my family, my true friends, great job and co-workers, but I still feel like there's something missing?

I sit back and think about the last 3-4 years of my life and it involved a lot of love, hurt, pain, losses, and gains. There were definitely more down times then up. There were family issues, relationship issues, work issues, and friend issues. But through it all I held myself up and kept it moving. Hell that's all I could do.

Over the last year more and more I've just found myself disconnecting with a lot of things and people for that matter. Be it they eliminated themselves from my life or I've just distance myself from them, its been a very interesting year. I've learned a lot, lost some, and gained quite a bit too.

But yet I still can't get the feeling of disappointment out of my mind, out of my soul. Looking back 10yrs ago I would've never thought where I am now is where I would be then? I admit I've accomplished a lot in these 10 years, more than what others my age has thus far in life. But I still feel like I'm not where I should or want to be.

Maybe its the ambitious spirit I have or maybe its just I'm truly finally sick and tired of my current surroundings. I'm ready to see what else is out there and what life has to truly offer me. I'm ready to be adventurous and definitely ready to take on the world!! I mean why not? I'm young, have a career, and nothing tying me down.

I really don't know the feeling causing this, but all I know is I have a very strong urge to pick up and go! The next question is where to? I'm blessed to have a career that can take me any where in the world! All I know is I'd prefer warmer climates!! I'm tired of these midwestern winters!!!! Lol

Is She The Reason....?

All once was good! No worries, no stress, no problems, or concerns. Then it just totally flipped?! What was once a healthy, happy, blossoming, beautiful thing turned into the worse thing possible. How could something so right turn out to be so bad?! Without a warning in site of how quickly things could change, they did! Slowly, but surely they did.

Something that was so beautiful and pure like out of a fairy tale. Oh yes! Cinderella had found her prince charming. One who would protect her, comfort her, support her, encourage her, love her, and grow with her. A man that was everything she ever dreamed of and possibly more was right before her eyes!

Then within the blink of an eye it all changed! Was it her fault? His fault? No clear understanding of exactly who or what caused the change. Maybe it was just a series of events? Yeah that's what it was! Two people who once flowed the same way, strolled down the same road, ultimately started going opposite directions. Or was it that they both were scared of what could possibly be the most beautiful thing in the world? True Love.

Would they try to stay together? Work through whatever issues they had? Would they still be supportive and encouraging of one another? Would they still love one another like they did when their love story began? Or would they let their new found dreams, goals, ambitions, and wants sabotage their relationship?

Can love really be all you need? Can love with stand the deep driven passion of someone's dreams? Is love really all you have at the end of the day? Is love used as an escape or excuse to not hurt someone when the other person wants to find a way out? Can someone's dreams, goals, and aspirations cause love to be lost? Can those things be used as an escape to push someone away no matter how much you love someone?

I know my answers to all these questions....so what's yours?

This Time - Short Film

I just stumbled upon this short film and I think it's absolutely amazing!!! I had to wait about 20 mins before posting this because of crying. I can relate to the situation. I had a loved one gone for almost 2 years in the military not knowing if they would make it back safely or not? That person was my whole world and was all I ever wanted!

Unfortunately being away and going through such a traumatic time in life it grew us apart and messed up our relationship. At first there were other blames for it but ultimately it was that time apart and the differences in us both that occurred AFTER that time that strained and dissolved our relationship. It was definitely a gift and a curse.

No one will ever know what it's like in the life of an military man or woman until they actually experience what they go through. And nobody will truly understand what it's like for a parent, child, significant other, or family member of a military person goes through unless they;ve experienced it. Trust me, it's totally different from the outside looking in.

I would totally LOVE to see this short film turned into a full length movie. I think it would be absolutely awesome!! Kudos to Reagan Gomez-Preston

Alot of what's been going on with me lately has been do to others pointing the fingers towards me instead of at themselves. I mean honestly I feel that those that are quick to point the fingers at others before truly assessing the situation shows me that their not responsible enough or business minded enough to step back and considered their role in the matter.

If there's something I didn't do right I am a woman that will own up to that mistake, learn from it, and try my hardest never to make it again. I am truly a person who does still value morals like honesty, respect, loyalty, and responsibility. Too many people get caught up in too many things and lose site of these values. No matter if they mean to or not.

We're living in this 'I want what I want when I want it' type of world and it has alot of people losing their minds, family, and friends. It truly is always a bad thing when relationships are lost over petty and unnecessary things.

Like people say, 'Those that are quick to point a finger at others need to realize there are always 4 fingers pointing back at you!'

This was a poem that really spoke to me. Right now there are a few personal and professional issues that I am currently faced with and there all to do with success and moving forward. When you are experiencing a new chapter in your life you should be happy excited and blessed. You shouldn't feel sad, mad, or like you owe an explanation.

When certain things happen in life they are truly for a reason. No matter what it is, be it a new Job, new friend, new car, new title, etc. You should never have to feel conflicted because you are given an opportunity over someone else. Bottom line is you were obviously doing the job you were suppose to be doing the correct way anyway in order to be considered for that next step right?

Unfortunately in life some people just can't accept the fact that there are people who are better qualified than them, more dependable, more trustworthy, and just an all around better candidate. It's like something I once heard in a Tyler Perry play and something my mom would always say, "When the Lord sees fit to start sending blessings your way, you will truly know who your friends are." Those words never rang as clear as they do now!!

Its definitely been awhile since I've posted here. I will admit I started this blog as a way of getting out what I was holding in and just expressing and showing people what I love. Showing people different pieces of the puzzle that make me who I am.

Well this last year has been one bumpy, twister of a roller coaster and its just Oct. I've learned a lot thus far this year, experienced a lot this year, and I've also recovered a lot in my life that I thought I'd never see or feel again. A lot of people have come and gone in my life as well. Some who's been there for years and some that's been shorter than that.

Right now I feel I'm at a crossroads in life. I'm still young, not married, and no kids. I have a career I love and extra curricula activities that I'm involved in that keeps me more than busy. But I just don't feel complete. I don't feel satisfied with what I have. I pray every night and ask for guidance on this journey called life.

By no means am I complaining about the blessings I do have, but just feel like there could be more! Maybe its my "perfectionist" or "motivational" characteristics I'm not sure? All I know is I do see a bigger picture and I'm patient enough to wait for the lord to bestow upon me the blessings he feels I'm deserving of.

So how many of you feel like you at a crossroads in your life?

In My Own Words:

First I want to thank God for the trials of life, without them we can't know purpose!

I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn't successful, but today that is between me and Christina. Its easy to say that it's because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT'S NOT.

I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile! I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn't for anyone to know. I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that! There was so much going on in me and Christina's personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing. Instead of being direct in order not to cause even more hurt or hurt someone's feelings, I carried the weight in secret!

I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time… This is Life. Nothing's promised or perfect, neither am I. I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE! I've always been a Loving Father, Hard Worker, Generous, Stern and Eager to prove myself. My faults are I can be irresponsible and an ass sometimes, but I HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER be a malicious person or wish harm to anyone, especially those I love or the mother of my child. I'm sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved! If there's anyone to blame and you can't fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront! Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!

This is not to justify anything, it's true emotion! It's a real thing that involves real people! I've cried about this for months, after interviews, after prayer and I've tried to take my own life at a point because of the failure that was looming.

But I was reminded by my MOTHER that I am not "Superman" and its okay to lose sometimes…

This too shall pass! And everything will be fine!

The King Has Arrived!!

So the city of Cleveland was in a complete and utter uproar about Lebron leaving the Cavs. I completely understand where they are coming from and their point of view. But at the end of the day obviously Lebron wasn't happy and the owner who's been irate disrespectful and totally outta line like a girlfriend or wife done wrong, wasn't trying to do anything to make King James happy?! Therefore, Bron left and decided to take his talent and chances down to Miami.

My thought on this situation is I'm happy for Lebron and wish him the best! I'm a fan of Lebron so I'm gonna root for him no matter where he goes. To me true fans would feel the same way. Can't be mad at him for the choice he made. He did what he felt he needed to do. If ya'll gonna be pissed it needs to be towards the man who didn't surround Lebron with a strong consistent team around him.

Bottom line business is business and a job is a job. Ya'll know that if ya'll at a job ya'll don't like and its not making you happy or giving you what you need what ya'll gonna do? Ya'll gonna look for another job that makes you happy and that you like! That's all Lebron did in my opinion.

Not Enough Make Up Bags In The World!!!

Caught in the act! UsMagazine.com has confirmed that the woman married producer The-Dream frolicked with in the Caribbean over the weekend is his assistant of about a year, Melissa Santiago.

The-Dream (real name: Terius Nash) married singer Christina Milian last September, and welcomed daughter Violet just five months ago.

Dream's representatives caught up with US WEEKLY and revealed that the couple have separated and plan to file for divorce. The split actually happened late last year, but they kept up a false appearance for the sake of their child.

"Terius 'The-Dream' Nash is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful. The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward."

I just don't know what to say about this?! Some people say it was a wrap to begin with and some were actually rooting for them. Its just sad that the true meaning of marriage really is?! Its bad enough people throw the word "Love" around like its nothing, but marriage is so much more.

Its a bond between two people that is suppose to be honest, pure, loving, trusted, respected, loyal and most of til death do you part. I would be totally heartbroken if I knew I was upholding my part of a marriage to the absolute best of my ability to find out my husband and father of my child was cheating on me?! And with someone whom I've been around, has been around my family, my friends, and most of all my daughter?!

Whoooo weeeee talk about some smoke in the city?! The Dream better prepare to drop more that $5 stacks on some damn Make Up Bags!!! No pre-nup and proof of cheating with no proper legal separation agreement or documentation?! This is gonna be a very ugly and sticky situation. But in the end I pray that is all works out for their beautiful baby girl lil Violet Nash.

My heart truly goes out to C Mili and to any women in her position. No matter what people think or speculate only her and Dream know what they're relationship was and will be for the future. I just hope he does right by his baby girl cause she didn't asked to be brought into all this.

So it's been way too long since i've been doing my blog and I admit I have missed it soo much!! Alot hs bee going on in my life personally, apirtiually, mentally, and physically! It's all been great for me though!! I'm sooo loving my new outlook on life, love, health, work, and friendship that it's absolutely wonderful!!

Even though i'm very happy with all the new facsinating things in my life, I also understand more now than ever what it means to take a break!!! Fot the last 2-3 years i have been going HARD!!! No real rest, no real time for me, which means no real fun for me!!!!

So after the next few events, school, and work projects i have coming up are over, i've made it up in my mind that im taking a vacation for at least a good week to relax have funn and experience something new!!! I've decided to go on a vaction that is very well much needed!!

ive decided to entitled this trip the "Me, Myself, & I" Vacation. i decided to name it this because sometimes we all just need to get away and relax our mind, body, and soul!1 we all get so caught up in the hussle and bussle of everyday life that we dont take time for self. so ive decided to take a trip to a destination ive never been before. on this trip its all about me and my peace.

im still looking for a destination thats a for sure go, but do have a good 3 spots picked out thus far. i wanted to not only go somewhere ive never been but also somepllace where i dont know anyone to make sure i get the ulltimate peace and pleasure of doing my own thing on my own time. im also considering routing all communcation to my house phone and disconected all my emails from my blackberry to have contact with those im usually around or have to be accountable for. the only cotact i will have is if i decide to contact you!! only person who will have emergency contact is my papi cause he threathen to beat me if he or my stepmom couldnt reach me!!! lol

i feel that everybody should have a trip like this to relax regroup and catch a grip on life instead of just watching it rush on by!! its a great wa to come up withh fresh ideas, mentally challenge yourself with making things happen on your own in a different city, state, country, and or island. im very excited and i cant wait to go!! Now if i could narrow down my choices?!?!?! orn at least where i want to go for my 1st trip??? heres a few pics of one of my destinations!!

Tom Cruise set for fourth 'Mission'

Apparently, nothing's impossible.

Tom Cruise has committed to reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in the next installment of the "Mission: Impossible" series at Paramount. The action tentpole, which is being co-financed by David Ellison's Skydance Prods., is now slotted for release on Memorial Day weekend 2011.

The reunion between Cruise and the studio once looked unlikely after Cruise's production deal there was cut loose in 2006, the year "Mission: Impossible III" was released. But both parties have recognized the promise in continuing a franchise that has grossed $1.4 billion worldwide.

Cruise has been on board to produce the fourquel with "M:I3" director J.J. Abrams since June. They have handed off an original idea to screenwriters Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec, who wrote for Abrams' spy series "Alias."

The studio and producers are now out to directors, as Abrams has not signed on to helm the followup.

With the "Mission" greenlight, Paramount has re-upped another franchise to join forthcoming sequels to 2009 hits "G.I. Joe," "Transformers" (July 2011) and "Star Trek" (June 2012), plus new franchise "The Adventures of Tintin" (Christmas 2011).

Paramount has released Cruise vehicles "Top Gun," "Days of Thunder," "The Firm," "War of the Worlds," "Vanilla Sky" and "Tropic Thunder," which featured the star in a rare secondary comedic role.

Since toplining "Valkyrie" two years ago, the CAA-repped Cruise next stars in the Fox action-comedy "Knight and Day," hitting theaters Fourth of July weekend.

Guinness Book of World Records

Video director David Rousseau said he and the Cash Money team might need to check the "Guinness Book of World Records": He and his company Creativeseen may be the new record-holders for most music videos shot in 48 hours.

Lil Wayne was expected to begin serving his one-year sentence on a weapons-possession charge on Tuesday (February 9), and while that sentencing was postponed until March 2, the MC has spent recent weeks manically recording music and videos — and over the past weekend, he hit the latter with a vengeance.

Cash Money chiefs Ronald "Slim" Williams and his brother Brian (a.k.a. Baby, a.k.a. the Birdman) enlisted Rousseau to shoot nine videos for Lil Wayne during Friday, Saturday and parts of Sunday. The director said he and his crew started setting up for the production around 9 a.m. Friday and the last camera stopped rolling at around 8 a.m. on Super Bowl Sunday.

"We shot some sh-- from the [We Are Young Money compilation] album, we shot something from [Wayne's forthcoming] Tha Carter IV. Some stuff from [Wayne's recent LP] Rebirth," the director told MTV News on Tuesday, before Wayne's sentencing was postponed. "We knew what our deadline was. We're trying to get maximum coverage for Wayne. Most of the time we only shot Wayne's verses — we'll finish the rest of the videos off in the next couple of weeks.

Rousseau, who had previously directed the soon-to-be-released Young Money video "Roger That" and the recently released Kevin Rudolf/ Wayne/ Birdman/ Jay Sean collaboration "I Made It (Cash Money Heroes)," said the Williams brothers contacted him two weeks ago about his huge task.

"We were put on hold," Rousseau said. "Cash Money said, 'This is our deadline. This is a hard deadline.' It was basically a 'Mission: Impossible' [scenario]: This is your mission if you choose to accept it. Everybody is onboard because everybody knows what's at stake. Unlike T.I. and some of these other guys that's disappeared while they were in, the point is to keep Wayne [visible] on TV and everything for whatever time he's in. There was a plan in action. Slim and Baby really could foresee that. He's at the height of his career, you can't let that momentum slip."

Some of the videos that were shot over the weekend were "Da Da Da," "Knockout" and "Get a Life" from Rebirth and a brand-new Weezy song from the highly anticipated Carter IV. "Da Da Da" features the rock band !Mayday! — which performed at Wayne's "farewell" party on Sunday night — and was shot on location at the Marlin Hotel in Miami. The rest of the clips were filmed at the New Art studio in North Miami in front of a green screen and white background, so footage can be added later.

"There isn't a title for it," Rousseau said of the Carter IV song. "Honestly, I can't tell you too much about it. That was a complete secret. We had to kick everyone off the set for it. No photography, even their official photographer had to leave. That's under wraps. The album is still under production. It's a crazy song."

Rousseau did divulge that the video from Tha Carter IV record would have parts of performance as well as a story line, as does the video for "Knockout."

"We got some concepts," the director said about what we can expect from the videos. "Cash Money came to the table with certain rough concepts. We went off that. In the next couple of weeks, we'll figure out what we got; 'Let's take this over here, let's take this over there.' At the end of the day, what it comes down to is making sure you got Wayne in the can. There's rough ideas for everything. They may not be completely sculpted out, but there is a plan. Nothing is done, just to do it. Everything was pre-thought, whether it be by Baby or Slim or Wayne himself. They're in the loop. As a label they were prepped."

Along with the Cash Money/ Young Money family, Juelz Santana, Yo Gotti and boxer Sugar Shane Mosley came out for the shoots.

"We tried to keep it wide, medium, close-up, just him vibing. Then we let him go change clothes," Rousseau said about the different shots in the videos. "Then other people would come in for 30 minutes. Wayne would come back out, same thing; wide, medium, close-up. Then we bring out somebody else who is on the song, Nicki Minaj, Sean Garrett, Baby, Tyga. Then again, 35 minutes [later] Wayne would come out. The only way to keep him fresh is [doing it] like a basketball team. You know, you can't give your starter too many minutes: You got him for 35 minutes on the court, outfit change. It was a tight schedule. We shot 16, 18 hours [a day]. He was there the whole time. He was a trooper.

"He was in a zone," Rousseau continued. "He was ready. It was a work mentality. He's getting prepared for everything that's about to happen to him. He knows it's the fourth quarter. He was completely cooperative, and completely professional."

Asked how he maintains such a rigorous schedule, Wayne told BBC Radio 1's Tim Westwood last weekend, "Determination. You set a goal. I'm one of those people that don't stop until the goal is done."

Besides the aforementioned videos, Weezy told Westwood that he recently shot four in Los Angeles, one in Dallas and has "been shooting" in Atlanta as well. Those videos include Rebirth's "Drop the World" (with Eminem) as well as "Roger That" and "Girl I Got You" from the Young Money LP. He also filmed "WTF" with Shawty Lo in Atlanta.

Of course, Wayne now has a bit more time to work on these videos — and probably a lot more.

Shaunie Oneal Signing Those Papers

The petition, citing irreconcilable differences as grounds for the split, was entered in the Los Angeles County Superior Court, seeking spousal support for Shaunie O'Neal and custody of the couple's four children, who range in age from three to nine years-old.

Celebrity news website TMZ.com said the O'Neal family had been living in Florida. But Shaunie O'Neal recently pulled the children out of school in that state and moved with them back to Los Angeles, where courts tend to be more generous in awarding child and spousal support, TMZ reported.

Shaquille O'Neal previously filed for divorce in 2007, but the couple was reported to have reconciled. They were married in December 2002.

Mrs O'Neal's petition this week lists the date of their latest separation as Monday and says she intends to amend her filing to seek a divorce.

The 7-foot 1-inch athlete, widely known as "Shaq," began his pro career with the Orlando Magic and later helped lead the Los Angeles Lakers to three consecutive NBA championships, in 2000, 2001 and 2002, before he was traded to the Miami Heat in 2004.

After winning a fourth championship in Miami in 2006, Shaq was traded to the Phoenix Suns, then traded again during the latest off-season to the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he now is playing alongside LeBron James.

The 15-time All-Star center and future Hall of Famer also has developed a successful media career, currently starring in an ABC television reality show called "Shaq Vs.," in which he competes against athletes in other sports.

To think he was creeping with another NBA players fiancée and mother of his children?! Goes to show you can have all the $$$ in the world but it still won't make you happy or satisfied. My heart goes out to Gilbert Arenas as well as Shaunie and the 7 kids who are in the middle of this whole mess.

I will admit, Shaunie was smart as hell filing in California! That was a smart bish move!! And the "Leaking" of the emails between Shaq and Laura Govan (Gilbert Arenas fiancée and mother to his 2 kids one on the way) was like icing on the cake!!

This whole situation is just sad and despicable! Shaunie has always been a sweet business minded woman who made her own way and wasn't just considered and "NBA Wife". I just pray everything is over and done with as soon as possible!

POTUS and FLOTUS greet some of the 2,600 children and adults invited to trick-or-treat at the White House for Halloween. Highlights: FLOTUS as Cat Woman, Gibbs as Darth Vader, U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice as Goofy.

The north front of the White House was tinted orange and bedecked for Halloween as children began filing in, we're told at 5 p.m. The pool was escorted up at about 6:15 p.m. Among the sights and sounds: Three giant pumpkins, each weighing about 1,000 pounds (grown in Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Wisconsin). "Skeleton" brass players and kettle drummers in black leotards. Red and yellow butterflies inside giant bubbles. Two giant orange and black eyes peering out from first-floor windows. A giant black spider and cobwebs hanging over the North Portico. Walking "trees" on stilts. Star Wars and other characters handing out candy. Hundreds of pumpkins and a few scarecrows. A "scuba diver" replete with bubbles. And much more. Most of the characters came from theatrical groups, including the Red Moon Theater in Chicago and D.C. companies.

POTUS, FLOTUS and First Grandmother Marian Robinson, all smiling broadly, handed out treats for about 30 minutes from 6:30 to 7 p.m. on the front steps. First, the treats: White House M&Ms, a sweet dough butter cookie from the White House pastry shop and, of course, some dried fruit (cherries, apricots, pears, apples and papayas). POTUS was in casual slacks, checked shirt and black sweater. FLOTUS, more in the spirit, had an orange-and-black leopard-type top and cat ears (the Cat Woman), black eye shadow, her hair in a bun and lots of gold bracelets on one arm. The three of them were continuously handed fresh baskets of the wrapped-in-plastic treats to dole out by staff in chef's hats. Children and parents who arrived earlier or later didn't get their treats from the First Family, but from other characters.

The children, ages 6 to 14 (but some obviously with younger brothers and sisters), came from 11 area schools -- five in the District, three in Maryland and three in Virginia (see list below) -- all chosen by the Department of Education. There were supposed to be about 2,000 children. Final count, according to First Lady's staff, was 2,600 children and adults. At one point, a toddler in his father's arms burst into tears upon seeing the president. Most of those exiting the line said the president simply said "Happy Halloween" as they passed. The event was run by the National Park Foundation, which provided each child with a Junior Ranger activity book..

Then, inside: A couple hundred military families, chosen by each service, and White House staffers and their children roamed the first floor of the White House as an old-fashioned turntable played albums -- yes, albums. POTUS and FLOTUS came into the East Room at 7:12 p.m. to greet some of them personally. Included: Robert Gibbs dressed as Darth Vader, with son Ethan; Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice, dressed as Goofy (the president jokingly asked cameras not to take her photo). The First Couple handed out the same treats that went to those passing by outside; at one point the president squatted down to talk to some of the children, seated on the floor.

As the pool was being ushered out, the president spoke briefly. He told the military families "We are so grateful to you," especially those who are separated from family members. He thanked staffers and their children, at which point FLOTUS piped in, "They're so cute!"

"They're adorable," POTUS said, "as is, by the way, my wife -- a very nice-looking Cat Woman."

The president told everyone to enjoy the party and the characters but warned, "Some of them are pretty big and scary." He noted that younger daughter Sasha "doesn't like big furry things." (Neither Obama offspring was seen, but we're told they were there.)

Expecting a Chris Brown Backlash?

There was no such thing at the Powerhouse '09 concert Tuesday night at the Izod Center in East Rutherford. Brown's first public performance in nearly a year was met by a very enthusiastic response from the approximately 9,000 in the audience, composed of mostly young females.

While Brown did appear contrite — more on that in a bit — he did seem more intent on delivering the poppy R&B jams and sexy ballads he's known for.

Sometimes the sexy part became blatant. When Brown and two male backup dancers performed "Take You Down," the trio, while lying face down, delivered a series of pelvic thrusts to the stage to the crowd's delight. Brown also took off his shirt for good measure during the song.

Brown did not directly address the audience for much of his performance except for a moment toward the end of his show-closing set.

"Despite my past and stuff like that, I appreciate y'all," Brown said. "I'm going to change and be a better man."

Brown made headlines in February when he assaulted his then-girlfriend Rihanna. The Powerhouse (New York City's 105.1) concert also featured sets by The Dream, Trey Songz, Keri Hilson Day26 and Fabolous.

Brown is set to perform a show Dec. 9 at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville as part of his Fan Appreciation Tour. Tickets for the Starland show go on sale noon, Saturday.

Nicki Minaj 'Best Female Rapper Alive?

Internet phenom turned mix tape king Drizzy Drake has bestowed a pretty big honor on Queens rapper Nicki Minaj: Best Female Rapper Alive.

While watching Minaj freestyle during this year's BET Hip-Hop Awards, Drizzy took to Twitter to make the announcement. "EVERYBODY JUST GOT ATE!!!!" He wrote. "@NICKIMINAJ is the best female rapper alive."

As one of the only female rappers in the prerecorded freestyle cipher that aired during the show, the Harajuku Barbie more than held her against her male counterparts, Joe Budden, Buckshot and Crown Royal.

"Call me Dracula 'cause all I do is count tricks/ Your money mini and I ain't talking 'bout the mouse trick/ these girls running like I just threw the bouquet/ they know I'm headed to the top like a toupee," Minaj spit. "Now all the bums is wondering where I bees at/ you ain't a Barbie, it's none of your freakin' beeswax!"

Despite not yet having albums out, these Young Money Crew members are quickly making a name for themselves outside of their affiliation with their boss Lil Wayne. This summer Minaj and Drake performed on the 'America's Most Wanted Tour' alongside Wayne and Soulja Boy Tell 'Em.

BET Introduces: Buppies

Tatyana Ali stars in "Buppies," a new web series that takes you inside the world of young, Black, urban professionals and their conflicts.

Ali is Quinci, a young woman struggling with the recent loss of her father and with getting dumped by her boyfriend. As her birthday approaches, she realizes that her friends are her only family left, but that family comes with a load of personal issues. Quinci and her dysfunctional circle will experience the ups and downs of being a part of L.A.'s young Black power elite.

"Buppies," according to Tatyana, "touches on Black Hollywood and has a little bit of a "Sex and the City" and "Entourage" vibe. It's about the characters, both women and men, figuring out who they are."

"Buppies" launches November 3 on BET.com/buppies with new webisodes Tuesdays at 3 PM.

Delonte West’s Wife Files D. V Report

For Delonte West, it has been an offseason from hell. And things aren't getting any better for the troubled shooting guard; the situation is worsening as the start of the regular season looms.

According to 19 Action News, a Cleveland television station, Delonte got into it with his wife over the weekend, resulting in a domestic violence report getting filed:

The two reportedly fought at their apartment when Delonte tried to take her wedding ring off. Mrs. West left their home and headed to Cleveland Hopkin's International Airport, where she filed a domestic violence report. Cleveland Police tell 19 Action News there were no signs of abuse or injury. Mrs. West then got on her flight and flew out of Cleveland.

Tad Carper, Vice President of Communciatons with the Cleveland Cavaliers tells 19 Action News "the team was contacted and is aware of the situation but declined any further comment."

Undoubtedly, there will be more to this story in the coming days.

Delonte was arrested on gun possession charges last month, he's missed team practices without permission, and now there's this incident.

It's unfortunate, but at some point (sooner rather than later), Danny Ferry and company are going to have to make some very tough business decisions — assuming they haven't already.

Monica’s New BET Show “Still Standing”

With the new release of her highly anticipated drama free reality show debuting tonight on BET at 10/9c, Monica will stand for more than just the celebrity.

The singer, the mother… Monica will stand for strength. Monica has voiced her views on the new show by saying: "The reality of our generation is that they don't rely on faith and that was something that I was brought up on to believe and is the key to success, it was the key to living life. It was the key to making it through different test and trials…I'm bringing back to television that it's ok to trust in God, it's ok to be prayerful. It's ok to believe in something because if you don't, you stand for nothing. So I'm saying it on a regular basis and hoping that younger people get that from the show."

Opening up her heart and soul to viewers at the same time displaying her many facets will be no easy fete yet the excitement is encouraging. With the release of an album & TV show Monica shares,

"I'm excited about the album, it's title Still Standing, two words put together signify strength. When you bind them together and have people that love you and you have the strength behind you as well. And that's what Still Standing represents."

No Excuses, a half-hour special premiering Monday, Oct. 26 @ 10:30PM, features P — whose real name is Percy Miller — trying to help a former gang member turn his life around through his philosophy of "work hard and never make excuses."

"People think that the only thing that sells on TV is sex or people showing off their lifestyle or what not, but people want to think, too. They want to be educated," he explains. "My goal is to touch people. To show others what someone had to go through to change their life so that maybe someone watching can do the same."

Okay I'm interested to see ho the season plays out! I will admit Master P is one of the most successful business men that has came from the rap game and expanded beyond just being a rapper/record ceo. I commend him for always giving back to the community and always remaining humble and respectful.

He is signed to Interscope Records and has been heating up the charts with his 1st single titled "Just A Kiss". If you haven't heard this song, then you've been under a rock.

I was flipping through a Women's Health recently (I admit it), and I noticed an interesting poll. Women cited the following as the most common breakup reasons:

• He changed

• We weren't compatible

• He cheated on me

When I was little, it drove me crazy when my parents supported "no" with "because I said so." I always wanted a reason. I'm not sure if knowing why always helps, but perhaps if you know common reasons guys break up with girls, you'll at least be able to see it coming. So, here are mine:

I Got Bored: I've read many different hypotheses on attention span, but my favorite is (Wikipedia):

"Continuous attention span, or the amount of time a human can focus on an object without any lapse at all, is very brief and may be as short as 8 seconds. After this amount of time, it is likely that an individual's eyes will shift focus, or that a stray thought will briefly enter consciousness."

My attention span (unless it's a football game or a song) may be worse. I know a relationship is not supposed to be exciting all the time, so getting through those flatline moments between the sparks is critical. If I start having more fun with other activities, the relationship is doomed.

One of Us Was Too Serious: This could be as simple as she wanted to see me three times a week, and I only wanted to see her once a week. If she's flirting with other guys, flighty, or not as into it as I am, then I'm too serious for her.

Burnout: I'm a big believer in pacing and rhythm in dating. A relationship can suffer burnout if certain milestones occur too fast: Being exclusive, sex, meeting parents. When that happens, I get that feeling the colonists must have gotten after they won the Revolutionary War: "Ok, we did it...so now what?"

I Was Tempted To Cheat: I do my best not to cheat, so when I have recurring urges to cheat on my girlfriend, I figure it's time to break up with her. I don't need to go through with cheating; the constant urge is enough for me to end things.

All My Friends Broke Up With Their Girlfriends: This is by far the most immature reason on this list. While my girlfriend and I are curled up on the couch watching "The Devil Wears Prada," my newly single guy friends are out shredding the karaoke waves with Journey's "Don't Stop Believin" and tearing up the town. That conflict gives me wanderlust. It's much easier when we are all in for a quiet Saturday night with the significant others.

Divergent Lives: If someone moves to another town, or work is taking over, or other life changes are driving you apart, sometimes it's best to end it.

Feeling Selfish: Dating is selfless because you're giving your time and yourself up to a relationship. "Me time" is necessary at some point to work on career/living situation, travel, or whatever. When I'm in a "selfish period," it's tough to participate in a relationship.

I "Misread" My Feelings: This is the most unfair of all the reasons. Both genders make this mistake—you get into a relationship and everything seems so great. Then, a few weeks later, you realize you got wrapped up in something for the wrong reason, dated for the sake of dating, or whatever, and you need to get out.

My Friends Or Family Didn't Like Her: I pay close attention to friend/family opinions because they know me best, and they've earned the right to have their say. Also, friends and family may be able to see things inside the relationship that I'm too blinded to see.

I Took Her For Granted: Great relationships should be easy, but there has to be some tension too—especially in the beginning. If it's too easy, there's a lack of challenge. If I feel like I could have her heart any time any place, sometimes I'll let her go. This almost always ends up coming back to haunt me later, though. I never learn.

She Was Too Negative: All too often, I end up with the brooding, depressed, uptight type who is constantly complaining. I don't expect someone to be happy all the time, but if she makes me unhappy every time I see her, why stay with her?

The problem I have with haters is that they see my glory, but
they don't know my story… If the grass looks greener on the other side
of the fence, you can rest assured that the water bill is higher there
too!

We've all got some haters among us! People envy you because you can:

Have a relationship with God
Light up a room when you walk in
Start your own business
Tell a man / woman to hit the curb (if he / she isn't about the right thing)
Raise your children without both parents being in the home

Haters can't stand to see you happy, Haters will never want to
see you succeed, Haters never want you to get the victory, most of our
haters are people who are supposed to be on our side. How do you handle
your undercover haters?

You can handle these haters by:

1. Knowing who you are & who your true friends are *(VERY IMPORTANT!!)
2. Having a purpose to your life? Purpose does not mean having a job.
You can have a job and still be unfulfilled. A purpose is having
a clear sense of what God has called you to be. Your purpose is not
defined by what others think about you.
3. By remembering what you have is by divine prerogative and not
human manipulation. Fulfill your dreams!

You only have one life to live…when it's your time to leave this earth,
you 'want' to be able to say, 'I've lived my life and fulfilled
'my' dreams,… Now I'm ready to go HOME! When God gives you favor, you can
tell your haters, Don't look at me…Look at Who is in charge of me…'

Life Is Full Of Curves

This last past months have been such a curvy winding twisting road. With the bumming out of me not moving to Florida after everything was set up and ready to go, except for the job. That has been the biggest disappointment for me to date.

I was so looking forward to leaving and starting off a new chapter in life. Especially after one truly important deciding factor didn't come through like thought it would. You know how sometimes you think you know someone and you realize you don't know them as much as you thought you did? Or you expect them to express themselves a certain way and they don't?

Well that's what happened to me. At first me wanting to move was because of the loss of family members back to back to back. The loss of another loved one and also the loss of someone who I've loved for 6 years. I felt like I wanted to just run away and be around new surroundings new people start a new life.

As time went on I admit I started to have second thoughts, but deep down I knew it was something I needed to do. They say when you don't go and make a change out of your comfort zone then there's no growth. I truly do believe that's true. I have been in a comfort zone for all of my life. And that's what made me really want to go!

It would have been easy for me to still go down and resume life, but with out a job down in Orlando I would have lasted all of a good year before I would have to start worrying about making $$. But that still doesn't include medical needs, school, and any other "emergencies" that may have popped up.

I had been pissed, stressed, sad, disappointed, and more about the situation. But after sitting dow evaluating everything and praying I've realized that everything truly happens for a reason. I've always been a firm believer in that, and this was a time I needed to listen to those words I say so many times to others.

After sitting down and just thinking praying and asking for guidance, I understand that I'm just gonna listen and let God guide me where he sees fit for me to go. I'm not gonna bitch moan and complain. Obviously he sees I'm still needed here in Columbus. For what reason?? I'm not sure, but eventually his plan for me will play out.

I will admit since I've stayed behind I've had the pleasure and honor of meeting some of the most intelligent, talented, humble, funny, business minded, motivational people. I know that they were brought into my life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Where they fall only time will tell, but at the moment I'm loving and cherish each and everyone one!!

Yes, this life of ours is always filled with so many twists, turns and curves. Its how we maneuver through them all that makes us or breaks us! I'm a Lewis and I'm not meant to be BROKEN!! Hence the title of my blog STILL STANDING!!

So I am anxiously waiting for the trip that me and a few friends have schedule to vacation in Viva Las Vegas!! None of us have ever been and its also 2 of my friends birthdays as well. So you know its definitely going down!!!

We have been asking people who have been where are the best hotels, food spots, shows, and clubs to hit up? We've been getting mad good feedback and its been great planning the process!

We are all just too excited for our own good and know its gonna be absolutely fun! 3 main comments we've gotten though are 1: Don't end up a part of the Vegas penal system; 2: Don't be a part of the spur of the moment wedding nuptials; and last the but not least the most important one of all; 3: What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!! POW!

Host Tracy Morgan and a slew of superstar performers and presenters will be celebrating the incredible legacy of Def Jam Recordings. Over the last quarter-century Def Jam has led a cultural movement that has changed the world.

So as I type they are actually filming the show. I can tell by my tweet line that's its the place to be right now!! I so wish I could be there! I've heard the the performances are spectacular and there are also some amazing surprise guests!

Usher New Album Details

One of the most anticipated R&B albums of the year is only a few months away, but details have remained scarce until now. Singer-songwriter Ester Dean is dropping a few hints from her recording sessions with Usher.

The "Drop It Low" hitmaker was called in to write with the R&B superstar for his new album Monster. She spent a couple days with him in a Las Vegas studio over the summer. "Lots of food, lots of fun music," she tells Rap-Up.com about the experience. "And he's cute!"

Dean discovered that she and Usher had a lot in common. "I knew Usher wrote songs, but we wrote just alike. It was so smooth," she says. "I was like, 'Dang! This is cool.'"

From what she heard, Ursh is returning to a sound reminiscent of his 2004 Confessions album. "He sound like he going back to the 'Burn' [records]—those good, great songs that he do."

Usher's sixth studio album Monster is expected for release in December.

Former NFL rookie of the year Shawne Merriman was arrested early Sunday morning in connection with an alleged assault on his rumoured girlfriend, a reality TV host.

Authorities confirmed that the 25-year-old San Diego Chargers linebacker was arrested on suspicion of choking and restraining Tila Nguyen, best known for her MTV dating reality show A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila.

Nguyen's condition was not immediately available.

Merriman was the 2005 AFC rookie of the year and was named to the Pro Bowl in each of his first three seasons, recording a total of 39½ sacks. He was suspended for a total of four games in 2006 after a violation of the league's steroid policy.

Merriman has been working his way back to the lineup after playing in just one game last season before requiring knee surgery.

Whitney Houston struggled with her voice during her much-hyped comeback performance on ABC's "Good Morning America" on Tuesday. But industry prognosticators are suggesting the soul music diva won't trip up on the charts next week.

Released on Aug. 31, "I Look To You" - Houston's first album in seven years - is expected to sell upward of 200,000 copies, which should easily enable it to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart. If this is the case, Miley Cyrus' "The Time of Our Lives" exclusive Wal-Mart EP, which entered at No. 3 with 62,000 copies sold this week, according to Nielsen Soundscan, will drop down a few slots below Houston's "You.

With a chart entry like that, Houston won't need to apologize to her fans, although she did find herself asking for forgiveness from the 5,000 concertgoers in New York's Central Park on Tuesday for overusing her famous pipes. "I'm sorry. I did 'Oprah.' I've been talking so long... I talked so much, my voice," she attempted to explain. "I shouldn't be talking, I should be singing," she said before breaking into "I'm Every Woman," the last of her three-song set.

DJ AM Had 6 Pills in Stomach 1 in Throat

DJ AM, the high-profile disc jockey who was found dead last week in his Manhattan apartment, had seven pills in his system when his body was discovered, a city official said on Wednesday night.

Investigators who showed up at his SoHo apartment on Friday - the same day he was scheduled to perform in Las Vegas - found a crack pipe and unspecified prescription pills near his body, leading them to speculate that DJ AM, 36, whose real name was Adam Goldstein, had accidentally overdosed. Mr. Goldstein had struggled with alcohol and drug addiction as a young adult, but said he had been sober for about 11 years.

The preliminary findings, disclosed on Wednesday, raised the possibility that Mr. Goldstein's death was not an accident. The city official, who spoke on condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak publicly about the investigation, said there were six unspecified pills in his stomach, suggesting they were ingested in a short period. Another pill that appeared to be the painkiller OxyContin, because it had the letters "OC" on it, was found in his throat, the official said.

A spokeswoman for the medical examiner's office was not immediately available for comment on Wednesday night. The final autopsy and toxicology report was pending. It was still unclear whether the prescription pills had been obtained legally. Mr. Goldstein survived a plane crash nearly a year ago but suffered severe injuries.

At the time of his death, he was working on a reality show for MTV in which he and families staged interventions for drug abusers. In an interview about the show, he talked about the agony of holding a crack pipe again for the first time in years.

"I realized," he said, "after I was holding it that my palms were sweaty and I was like, 'Wait a minute, this is not smart for me to be holding this.' "

Usher's Ex Speaks Out About Divorce

In June, Usher and his wife of nearly two years, celebrity stylist Tameka Foster-Raymond, filed for divorce in the wake of constant rumors that they were breaking up.

In an interview in the October issue of Upscale magazine, the former Mrs. Usher Raymond recounts how she was savagely judged by bloggers because, as she puts it, she didn't fit the image of the kind of woman people thought Usher should marry.

"I understand where all the negativity comes from," she told the magazine. "Unfortunately I think that some black women are — subconsciously — not in love with the image they see in the mirror. Therefore in turn they do not love someone like me. I look too much like them."

She goes on to say that she may have been better accepted if she were more "exotic" looking. "They would definitely have preferred my husband marry someone more exotic looking. I was not given a fair shot," she explained. "People passed judgment without getting to know me. How can you get the entire concept of who I am from a blog?"

Usher and Foster, who runs a styling company called Swanky Image Group, have two sons together, and even though the marriage didn't work out between the two, she does say that she still loves Usher and that "he's a great guy."

"The dissolution of marriage is always upsetting," she said. "You have the expectation that it will work. But, you know what? It didn't work. But he's (Usher) a great guy. I will always love him."

Olubowale Victor Folarin, better known by his stage name Wale (pronounced wah-lay), (born in Washington, D.C. on 21 September 1984) is an American hip hop artist. He rose to prominence in 2006, when his song "Dig Dug (Shake It)" became popular in Washington, D.C. Wale has released five widely recognized mixtapes. His first full length album, Attention: Deficit is scheduled to be released on October 20, 2009.

Wale was born to Nigerian parents in Washington, D.C. He grew up in Northwest D.C. and graduated from Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg in 2001, after which he moved to Largo, Maryland.

Career

2006

"Dig Dug (Shake It)" became popular in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia. The song became the most requested song by a local artist in D.C. radio history and Wale was the first local artist to get any BDS spins since DJ Kool in the early 1990s. The song was included in Wale's first mixtape, Paint a Picture.

In July 2006, Wale hired Daniel Weisman, a former club DJ and promoter, as his manager. In September 2006, after dropping another go-go influenced single, "Breakdown", sampled from Huck-a-Bucks "Sexy Girl", and a mention in The Washington Post, Wale released his first non-go-go original single, "Uptown Roamers." On September 14, 2006, "Uptown Roamers" debuted on XM Radio Channel 66 and was played twice in one day. Both "Breakdown" and "Uptown Roamers" were on Wale's second mixtape, Hate Is the New Love.

In early December 2006, Wale won the award for "D.C. Metro Breakthrough Artist of the Year" at WKYS' Go-Go Awards . On December 15, The Fader magazine associate editor Nick "Catchdubs" Barat visited Wale for an interview and photo shoot which appeared in the March 2007 issue of The Fader.

2007

In January 2007, Wale released a new single to radio called "Good Girls" produced by Gerard Thomas and Demario Bridges for TeamMusicGroup. Daniel Weisman gave the song to Mark Ronson and on February 23, 2007, Ronson began playing the song on his East Village Radio show . A week later, at Ronson's studio, Wale recorded a freestyle for Ronson and in exchange, Ronson put Wale on an unreleased remix of Lily Allen's "Smile" which appeared on a number of music blogs around the world on March 13, 2007 . In April 2007, Ronson asked Wale to join him on a UK tour to promote the release of his newest album. In June 2007, Wale signed to a production deal with Ronson's Allido Records.

Wale released his third mixtape, 100 Miles & Running, on July 11, 2007 as a free download on his Myspace page. To date, the mixtape has been downloaded over 75,000 times. This mixtape includes features from Mark Ronson, Daniel Merriweather, Amy Winehouse, and Lily Allen. It was released on the same day as his performance at the Highline Ballroom, in Manhattan. The Highline show was to promote the US release of Mark Ronson's album and included performances by Mark Ronson, Wale, Saigon, and Daniel Merriweather. Jay-Z, Beyonce, Kanye West, Maroon 5, Clive Davis, Eve and Danny Masterson were all in attendance. There, Wale was interviewed by MTV News correspondent J.D. Wale performed "W.A.L.E.D.A.N.C.E.", from his 100 Miles mixtape, at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada.

2008

In March Wale signed a joint venture deal with Mark Ronson's Allido Records and Interscope, joining Rhymefest and Daniel Merriweather as Allido artists.

On May 30, 2008, Wale released his 4th mixtape, The Mixtape About Nothing, for free through www.elitaste.com and 10deep.com in collaboration with the streetwear brands Commonwealth and 10 Deep. 10 Deep also released the "Serenity Now" tee in collaboration with Wale's release of this mixtape. Everyone who purchased the "Serenity Now" tee also received a hard copy of The Mixtape About Nothing. The majority of the mixtape was produced by DC's Best Kept Secret.

In the June issue of the German Hip-Hop magazine JUICE Wale announced that his upcoming debut-album will feature production credits from Mark Ronson, Kanye West, Just Blaze, 9th Wonder and the French electronic music duo Justice. In the June/July 2008 issue of Giant Magazine, Wale announced he is making a new mixtape called Back to the Feature, which will be produced by 9th Wonder.

In a recent interview with Washington Post's Express, Wale announced that he was recording a song with Chrisette Michele called "Shades" for his upcoming album, which discusses inter-black racism. Wale also said that similar content found in The Mixtape About Nothing will be on the album.

In a Elitaste interview, Young Chris said about Wale, "We're ready to do a mixtape together; we ain't got the name nor the DJ yet, but we've had some good talks and we'll get that mixtape out." His friendship with Young Chris also has led to his signing to Jay-Z's Roc Nation and has also led to Wale wearing the Roc-A-Fella chain as worn by Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Records

Wale stopped into Travis Barker's studio in August 2008 to rap a verse for Travis' solo album, Travis then performed live drums on a Wale album cut, "G Told Me" produced by Sean C & LV ("Roc Boys").

Wale also appeared on Interscope label mate DJ Greg Street's single "Dope Boys" which samples Hip Hop classic T.R.O.Y. alongside Lupe Fiasco and Kardinal Offishall. He will also appear in the video with Alex Schild.

2009

On June 19, 2009, Wale released his fifth mixtape, Back to the Feature, on which eleven of the tracks were produced by 9th Wonder, with contributions also coming from Mark Ronson and others. The album's title, a play off the name of the movie Back to the Future, referred to the fact that a lengthy list of rappers joined Wale on the songs, including Talib Kweli, Joell Ortiz, Beanie Sigel and Bun B. The mixtape received several positive reviews, although at least one critic commented that it represented neither "a step forward or back [for the artist] so much as shouting-in-place."

Wale is featured in "Change" a song by the Australian singer/songwriter Daniel Merriweather. It was written by Merriweather and Andrew Wyatt and produced by Mark Ronson. It was released on January 30, 2009 in the United States and Canada, and February 2, 2009 in the UK (where the song peaked at no.8). The song is included on Merriweather's album Love and War.

Jay-Z Press Conference For Charity

Jay-Z held a press conference on Monday (Aug. 31) to announce his "Answer the Call" charity concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City on September 11. He was joined by wife Beyoncé, Lyor Cohen, Kevin Liles, Governor David Paterson, and Fire Commissioner Nicholas Scoppetta.

The benefit hopes to raise as much as $1 million for the New York Police and Fire Widows' and Children's Benefit Fund. There may be as many as 10 other artists involved in the show. Tickets go on sale September 8 for $50.

Rob Zombie to Remake The Blob

After taking the reigns on the new versions of the Halloween movies, Rob Zombie is about to continue his work in the horror genre by remaking another cult classic in The Blob. According to Variety, Zombie will direct, produce and write the remake, which was originally released in 1958, about a red blob that crash landed on Earth from outer space and was able to absorb people and objects simply by rolling over them. The premise of Zombie's remake of The Blob will remain the same although the special effects expand upon the original Blob, which was a giant moving jello-like mass.

Details about the film are currently under wraps although Rob Zombie revealed in an interview with Variety that, "My intention is not to have a big red blobby thing – that's the first thing I want to change." With an estimated $30 million budget, Zombie has the freedom to do much more with CGI and/or animated Blob.

Rob Zombie is currently planning a tour to promote his latest album all while simultaneously finishing work on the screenplay for The Blob, which will blend sci-fi with horror. The film is set to follow the Halloween series as R-rated and bridge the gap between different genres.

With Zombie remaking The Blob, can we expect a new generation of "blobbers" to hit the web, writing all about a new version of the horror classic?

Police Details of DJ AM's Last Day Alive

As the pieces are still being put together to identify the cause of Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein's death, a police source tells PEOPLE that on Friday, Aug. 28, the day he was later discovered dead in his Manhattan apartment, the celebrity deejay had sent his last text message to two friends at 1 a.m.

The subject of his message was his scheduled Las Vegas gig that very Friday night at the Rain Nightclub in the Palms Hotel – but he never made it.

Sixteen hours after Goldstein texted, a friend called 911 because Goldstein had failed to answer his cell phone and, when it was time for him to leave for his flight, his two traveling companions could not reach him.

After the NYPD broke down the door to his SoHo apartment, says a police source, they found the lifeless Goldstein in bed, wearing sweatpants and a crack pipe nearby. They also discovered a half bag of crack cocaine, along with a crack pipe, and prescription drugs.

On Saturday, the New York City Medical Examiners office announced that after an initial autopsy proved "inconclusive," more tests, including a toxicology report that might require weeks, would be performed.

Goldstein, who often talked about his past struggles with drug abuse, claimed he was off drugs for 11½ years.

He also recently told the Associated Press while promoting his upcoming MTV reality show Gone Too Far, about getting users off drugs, that while filming the show he held a crack pipe for the first time in years – but that a guardian angel was looking after him.

"There's no better way to remember what it was like when I was at my bottom than to see someone at their bottom," he told AP.

Halloween 3D' Coming In Summer 2010

"Halloween II" may not have won the box office this weekend, but Weinstein Co. is taking a lesson from the movie that did as it prepares a sequel for next summer.

The independent studio's co-Chairman Bob Weinstein said today that the 3-D sequel, titled, appropriately enough, "Halloween 3D," is in development.

The investment it takes to shoot movies in digital 3-D has proved particularly lucrative for horror films. For "The Final Destination," this weekend's No. 1 movie, theaters with at least one 3-D screen earned 3.25 times as much as those that showed the movie in 2-D only, according to distributor Warner Bros. That's substantially higher than for other recent releases. The equivalent 3-D multiple for last month's "G-Force," for instance, was only 1.7 on its first weekend. For July's "Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs" it was 1.4 andm for June's "Up" it was 2.2. January horror flick "My Bloody Valentine" earned 6.4 times as much from 3-D theaters as it did from 2-D on its opening weekend.

Weinstein said Rob Zombie, who directed "Halloween II" and 2007's reboot of the 31-year-old horror series, won't return for "Halloween 3-D." He said the studio is in negotiations with a new director, whom he declined to name, who has experience in horror and has a "different take" on the franchise.

Spike Lee Throws MJ A Bday Bash In BK

The rain didn't stop Michael Jackson fans from celebrating his birthday in Prospect Park Saturday, where thousands of one-gloved moonwalkers remembered the King of Pop.

Famed director Spike Lee organized the massive dance party for what would have been the star's 51st birthday.

"Fifty-one years ago, he was born into the world," said Lee, who directed the "They Don't Care About Us" music video for Jackson in 1996.

"I'm like everybody else - somebody who loved his talent," he said. "We're here to celebrate Michael Jackson."

Indeed, the birthday party had a celebratory tone - a welcome change from weeks of grieving Jackson's death.

He died just over two months ago of cardiac arrest after his doctor, Conrad Murray, gave him a lethal drug cocktail at his rented Bel Air estate in June.

The death was ruled a homicide last week.

Several thousand dancers packed themselves close together on the muddy Prospect Park grass facing a huge stage. Deejays played Jackson's music spanning his whole career - from his childhood with the Jackson Five to his final tracks.

There was a giant white birthday cake that read "Happy Birthday Michael Jackson" in red frosting. Balloons dotted the sky.

The biggest cheers came late in the day when the deejay played one of Jackson's best known hits, "Beat It."

"I've been into Michael Jackson since I was 1 year old," said Tariq Shade, 39, of Crown Heights, who wore a silver sequin glove on one hand. "I've always, always celebrated his birthday."

"I don't even remember life without him," actor Tracy Morgan said at Saturday's party. "Michael Jackson was everything."

"Happy birthday, Michael!" yelled Purcell Nurse, 28, of Crown Heights. "I wasn't able to go to one of his concerts, but I'll always remember this concert."

Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz took the stage to declare Aug. 29 "Michael 'King of Pop' Jackson Memorial Day" in Brooklyn.

"We all know Michael Jackson had fans around the world, but nowhere more than Brooklyn," Markowitz said.

Brooklyn City Councilwoman Letitia James last week suggested adding "Jackson" to the Hoyt-Schermerhorn subway station's name. The station served as an iconic backdrop for the 1987 music video of "Bad."

Meilan Gee, 59, flew all the way from Los Angeles to attend the birthday party.

"I had to be here today," she said. "I went to Neverland, his house, his mother's house. I have to be wherever he is."

Timbe Crump, 38, came from Milwaukee for the weekend and didn't want to miss the bash.

"We planned the trip around this," she said. "It's a day to celebrate his life and his accomplishments."

Michael Jackson Alive?

Like the Willy Wonka of our time, Jackson was an eccentric character who was shrouded with so much mystery and controversy, it seems fitting that a weird video has emerged of a man, presumed to be Jackson, stepping out of the coroner's vehicle and quietly being ushered inside a building. Everyone is now saying that Jackson faked his death.

The person who posted the video on Live Leak, the video-sharing website, claims to have been passed it by a trustworthy source.

"This video shows that Michael was still alive after his dead body was transported to the Los Angeles Dept. of Coroner," claims the video description.

"I checked the license plate number and it looks like the King of Pop is jumping out of the same van, his dead body has been in."

On the morning of her Birthday, he arose early, made her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What aday!He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was.

Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down. He then took her to a McDonald's where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake.

Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M's. What a fabulous adventure!Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted.

DWTS Announces Celebrity Pairings

Dancing With the Stars" has its dance card set for Season 9. The lineup of pairings between celebrities and their professional dancer partners is complete, ABC Entertainment News reported Monday.

Entertainer Ashley Hamilton received a pleasant surprise: He'll be dancing with Edyta Sliwinska, who partnered with his father, George Hamilton, in the show's second season. "My partner is a bigger celebrity than I am," Ashley Hamilton said.

Other highlights include singer Mya teaming with dancer Dmitry Chaplin, ultimate fighting champion Chuck Liddell pairing with Anna Trebunskaya, and actress Melissa Joan Hart matching up with reigning champ Mark Ballas.

The new season premieres Sept. 21 on ABC.

Paula Abdul To Host 'VH1 Divas

After negotiations with "Dancing With the Stars" and "Ugly Betty" fell through, Paula Abdul has finally booked her first major post-"American Idol" gig. And it's the perfect fit. The Grammy-winning singer will host the September 17 "VH1 Divas" show, which is slated to feature performances by Kelly Clarkson, Miley Cyrus, Adele, Leona Lewis and Jordin Sparks.

Abdul announced the deal on Monday on her official Twitter feed, telling fans, "Hi guys! im really excited 2 announce ill b hosting this year's "VH1 Divas"! The show will be live on Sept 17th @ 9 pm EST."

After a four-year hiatus, the show is returning with a fresh-faced lineup of contemporary hitmakers, who join the list of legends who have graced the Divas stage since the event began in 1998, including Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Aretha Franklin, Cher, Tina Turner, Whitney Houston and Beyoncé. Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the upcoming weeks.

The Abdul announcement comes less than a week after the former "Idol" judge's manager told the Los Angeles Times that contrary to reports, Abdul was not holding out for a possible return to "Idol." Manager David Sonenberg told the paper that Abdul was in talks with all the major networks about possible shows and that fans may see her returning in any of a number of different guises, from executive producer to star or host.

Abdul shocked fans of "Idol" on August 4 when she announced her sudden departure from the show via Twitter. So far, producers have announced that her seat will be filled by a rotating series of guest judges, including Joe Jonas, Katy Perry, Mary J. Blige and Victoria Beckham.

Aaliyah Dana Haughton (January 16, 1979 – August 25, 2001), who performed under the mononym Aaliyah, was an American recording artist, actress and model. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, and was raised in Detroit, Michigan. At an early age, she appeared on Star Search and performed in concert alongside Gladys Knight. Aaliyah worked with record producers Timbaland and Missy Elliott for her second album, One in a Million, which sold two million copies in the United States and over eight million copies worldwide. In 2000, Aaliyah appeared in her first major film, Romeo Must Die. She also contributed to the film's soundtrack, where "Try Again" was released as a single. Tomb Above Marilyn Monroe Sold 4 $4.6MIL

Even in death, Marilyn Monroe is still snagging millionaires.

An unidentified deep-pocketed fan who clearly prefers blonds placed the winning $4.6 million bid Monday in an eBay auction for the crypt directly above the sexy screen icon's grave.

Beverly Hills widow Elsie Poncher put her husband's strategically positioned crypt on the auction block with a starting price of $500,000.

Bidding soared to $4.5 million three days later.

"Here is a once in a lifetime and into eternity opportunity to spend your eternal days directly above Marilyn Monroe," the eBay auction description boasted.

Richard Poncher was buried face down, looking at Marilyn, when he died 23 years ago at age 81, the posting revealed.

His 80-year-old widow said she decided to move his remains and sell the valuable vault at the Pierce Brothers Westwood Village Memorial Park cemetery.

She plans to use the cash to pay off a $1.6 million mortgage on her Beverly Hills home.

"I can't be more honest than that," she told The Los Angeles Times. "I want to leave it free and clear for my kids."

A woman who answered the phone at Elsie Poncher's house said the family had no comment. "We still don't know who bought it," she said.

An eBay spokeswoman said privacy rules prohibit the company from revealing the winning bidder's identity without prior consent.

Richard Poncher bought the crypt from Yankee great Joe DiMaggio during his divorce from Monroe, the widow said.

The Yankee Clipper had planned to be buried on top of Monroe's grave, until their made-in-Hollywood romance turned sour.

Richard Poncher wasn't a huge fan of Monroe at the time that he bought the crypt, but the bombshell grew on him over time.

As he lay dying, Poncher told his wife not to even think of burying him anywhere else.

"He said, 'If I croak, if you don't put me upside down over Marilyn, I'll haunt you the rest of my life,'" Elsie Poncher said.

A cemetery spokeswoman said Monroe's grave has helped make Pierce Brothers a top tourist destinations in Los Angeles.

"Anyone can walk through and see it during visiting hours," she said.

Screen siren Natalie Wood, Dean Martin and Roy Orbison are buried nearby.

Monroe died of a drug overdose ruled a "probable suicide" at the age of 36 in 1962.

The star of "Some Like It Hot," "How to Marry a Millionaire," and "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" was named the sexiest woman of the 20th century by both Playboy and People magazines.

The stone facade of her aboveground crypt stands out with a darker hue left by the fingerprints and lipstick marks of countless fans.

Michael Jackson's Final Hours

In the hours before his death, Michael Jackson had been given a slew of drugs by Dr. Conrad Murray to help him sleep. When one medicine didn't work, Murray tried another, finally resorting to giving him a dose of the anesthetic propofol, although Murray allegedly feared Jackson was forming an addiction. The details of Jackson's final hours and the actions by his doctor were outlined Monday in an unsealed search warrant affidavit. The following timeline is Murray's version of events given to detectives in the days following Jackson's death:

June 22: Murray gives Jackson 25 milligrams of propofol along with the sedatives lorazepam and midazolam. The singer is able to sleep with this mixture.

June 23: Murray gives Jackson the same drug combination as he did the day before, but this time without propofol in hopes of weaning him off it. Again, the singer was able to sleep.

The Day of Jackson's Death

June 25: At about 1:30 a.m., Murray again tried to get Jackson to sleep without propofol and gives the singer a 10-milligram tablet of Valium, but Jackson is unable to sleep.

• Around 2 a.m.: Murray injects Jackson with two milligrams of lorazepam, pushed slowly into the singer's IV. But again, Jackson can't sleep.

• Around 3 a.m.: Murray then gives two milligrams of midazolam to Jackson, also pushed slowly into the IV. Jackson remains awake.

• Around 5 a.m.: Murray gives the singer another two milligrams of lorazepam but Jackson still can't sleep.

• Around 7:30 a.m.: Murray administers another two milligrams of midazolam. Murray claims he is continuously at Jackson's bedside, monitoring the singer with a pulse oximeter [connected to Jackson's finger] and measuring his pulse and oxygen statistics. But Jackson remains awake.

• Around 10:40 a.m.: Murray gives Jackson 25 milligrams of propofol diluted with lidocaine to keep Jackson sedated after repeated demands for the drug by the singer. Jackson finally falls asleep, and Murray continues to monitor him.

• After 10 minutes: Murray states he left Jackson's bedside to use the restroom and is gone for no more than two minutes. Upon his return, Murray finds Jackson not breathing. Murray begins CPR, and gives Jackson 0.2 milligrams of flumazenil, an antidote for certain overdoses. Using his cell phone, Murray calls Jackson's personal assistant, Michael Amir Williams, and asks him to send security upstairs for an emergency.

Murray continues CPR – and before security arrives – he leaves Jackson and runs to the hallway and downstairs to the kitchen, where he asks the chef to send up Jackson's 12-year-old son, Prince Michael I. Murray continues CPR. The boy arrives upstairs and summons security.

• At 12:21 p.m.: Jackson staff member Alberto Alvarez dials 911, and the Los Angeles Fire Department responds on the scene shortly thereafter. Murray waits for the ambulance while conducting CPR, and later accompanies Jackson to the hospital.

Fugitive Jenkins Found Dead In Motel

Fugitive reality-TV star Ryan Jenkins has been found dead of an apparent suicide in a Hope, B.C., motel, RCMP said Sunday.

The Calgary native faced murder charges in the death of his ex-wife, model Jasmine Fiore, whose mutilated body was found in a Los Angeles dumpster last Saturday.

Police responded to a call about a dead person in Hope, east of Vancouver, and then called investigators who were part of the massive manhunt for Jenkins, said Sgt. Duncan Pound with the RCMP's border integrity unit.

They don't yet know how long the 32-year-old real estate developer was at the motel before his body was discovered, he said.

Jenkins disappeared last week, but his boat was found Wednesday at a marina not far from the U.S.-Canada border south of Vancouver.

Police received a number of reported sightings of Jenkins that proved false, including a man taken off an Air Canada flight to Toronto from Vancouver on Friday night and another questioned aboard a Vancouver transit bus on the weekend.

Fiore's body was found stuffed in a trash bin in a park southeast of Los Angeles. Her teeth and fingers had been removed, making identification difficult.

The former bikini model was identified through serial numbers on her breast implants. She was badly beaten and preliminary reports indicate she had been strangled.

The U.S. Marshals Service was offering a $25,000-US reward for information leading to Jenkins's capture. Earlier Sunday, RCMP confirmed he was in Canada, as suspected.

So we held a huge event in our city today that was called: Supplied 4 Success. It was an event that was geared toward supplying students preschool thru 8th grade with supplies to start the school year off right.

With all of the sponsors and volunteers we were able to supply 310 students with supplies! It was a great feeling to be able to give back to our community especially the kids because they truly are our future.

I just want to thank the ladies who came up with the concept and pulled it all together! Also to everyone who donated and came out to volunteer! We had food, drinks, and a dj to keep the day rocking with positivity and fun!!

Murdered Jasmine Fiore Was Texting Ex

Murdered Playboy model Jasmine Fiore had been exchanging text messages with a former boyfriend saying she wanted to meet him in Las Vegas in the hours before she was killed.

Miss Fiore's short-lived husband and reality TV contestant Ryan Alexander Jenkins is wanted in connection with her death after her mutilated body was found stuffed in a suitcase.

But the Hollywood gossip website TMZ reported that she'd been texting ex-boyfriend Robert Hasman several times on Thursday evening and early Friday morning of last week.

And, in an eerie twist, it says that Hasman received a text message last Friday night from her phone, which said simply "suck it". It appears that message was sent long after Miss Fiore was dead.

TMZ has also obtained video showing Miss Fiore and Mr Hasman in the holiday resort of Los Cabos, Mexico, last month - just four months after she married the man now charged with murdering her.

A guest at the pool area told TMZ that the the two used aliases -- he was "Hans" and she was "Ginger".

Miss Fiore was identified by her the serial number on her breast implants after her fingers and teeth were "forcibly removed", investigators in southern California said.

In a separate development, Canadian police boarded a plane at Toronto airport and arrested a man they believed may have been Mr Jenkins. They later released the man after confirming it was a case of mistaken identity.

Mr Jenkins, 32, apparently slipped into Canada after driving and power-boating more than 1,000 miles from southern California after the corpse of his 28-year-old girlfriend, Jasmine Fiore, was discovered.

Her naked body was found in a rubbish bin in Los Angeles on Saturday. "The victim had been badly beaten, all of her fingers had been cut off, and all of her teeth had been forcibly removed," said a statement from the California prosecutors.

Canada said its security forces were looking for Mr Jenkins, who is officially described as a "person of interest" in the investigation into Fiore's death. "Police forces are on the lookout with the potential that he might be in this country," said Peter Van Loan, the Canadian Public Safety Minister.

Police believe Mr Jenkins reported her missing on Saturday night – after her body had been found - and then disappeared when detectives said they wanted to talk to him.

Mr Jenkins was a contestant on the VH1 reality show "Megan Wants a Millionaire", a US television show in which men with a net worth of at least $1 million vie to win a woman seeking to become a "trophy wife". He is variously described as an architect, property developer and investment banker.

He appeared in three episodes of the TV series "Megan Wants a Millionaire", during which he had to complete such tasks as designing a marketing campaign for her pet chihuahua.

Mr Jenkins' disappearance has sparked a media frenzy. A white car police believe he was driving and an empty boat trailer were found at a marina in the US border town of Blaine, close to Vancouver.

A man matching Mr Jenkins' description arrived by boat at Point Roberts, US territory about 10 miles away, at the tip of a peninsula which is reachable by land only from Canada.

Mr Jenkins's mother reportedly lives in Point Roberts and a local television station quoted a family friend, who said Mr Jenkins' mother went met him in Seattle, Washington, on Wednesday, saying it was a family emergency.

A preliminary coroner's report indicated that Miss Fiore was strangled.

Mr Jenkins appears to have met her in a Las Vegas casino after recording the VH1 series. The two were married soon after.

According to Miss Fiore's mother, Lisa Lepore: "they had a big blowout" in May and Miss Fiore had the marriage annulled.

Court records show that Mr Jenkins was charged in June in Clark County, Nevada, with a misdemeanour count of "domestic violence" when he was accused of hitting Miss Fiore on her arm.

Mr Jenkins was also charged with assaulting his girlfriend in July 2005 in Calgary and given a conditional discharge with 15 months probation.

But, upon watching the movies and videos, I kept seeing this girl who would be dancing her ass off and then switch to acting too! She's a beast!!! If yall ever saw Omarion's video for "Touch" you know what I mean.

Danielle Polanco (born October 26, 1985) is an elite dancer and choreographer. She is probably best known for being the leading lady in Omarion's music video Touch and for playing in the 2008 movie Step Up 2 the Streets, in which she portrayed Missy Serrano. Polanco has an impressive resume; she has choreographed for Beyonce and Janet Jackson and has also appeared as a dancer in numerous music videos for top artists such as Beyonce, Amerie, Janet Jackson, and Usher. Danielle is a member of the House of Ninja. She is of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent. She's from and still lives in the Bronx borough of New York City. Most recently, she can be seen in the Broadway revival of West Side story as one of the Shark girls. She is the dance captain for the show.

Abercrombie Has Loss on Sales Slump

Abercrombie & Fitch Co., the U.S. teen clothing retailer, reported a second-quarter loss on slumping sales and costs to close Ruehl stores. The shares rose on investor optimism results will improve in the second half.

The net loss was $26.7 million, or 30 cents a share, compared with a profit of $77.8 million, or 87 cents, a year earlier, the New Albany, Ohio-based company said today in a statement. Revenue dropped 23 percent to $648.5 million, in line with preliminary figures released last week.

Chief Executive Officer Michael Jeffries started to lower prices in the second quarter to compete with other retailers such as Aeropostale Inc. and American Eagle Outfitters Inc., which have used discounts to lure consumers on tight budgets. Pricing changes, inventory management and improved fashion should help results later this year and in 2010, said Richard Jaffe, an analyst at Stifel, Nicolaus & Co. in New York.

The second quarter showed "modest improvement," Jaffe said in a research note today. Excluding some items, earnings were 4 cents a share, beating his estimate for a loss of 3 cents.

Marketing, general and administrative expenses declined 19 percent in the quarter to $88.7 million.

Sales at stores open at least a year dropped 30 percent in the three months ended Aug. 1, the company said last week.

The retailer said on June 17 it would close its 29 unprofitable Ruehl stores that carry clothing for 22- to 25-year olds after sales stagnated in the U.S. recession.

Abercrombie rose $1.29, or 3.9 percent, to $34.25 at 4:15 p.m. in New York Stock Exchange composite trading. The shares have gained 48 percent this year.
